MRC Frequently Asked Questions
Here you’ll find quick answers to the most common questions about our programs, memberships, facilities, and events. Whether you’re a student musician, a parent, or a community partner, this page will help you learn how MRC supports young artists with affordable access to recording studios, instruments, lessons, and a safe creative space.
How do you take a tour?
You’re welcome to stop by anytime between 2:00–7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. A staff member will be happy to show you around and answer any questions you have about our space and programs.
Who is eligible to be an MRC Member?
Anyone in 7th–12th grade is eligible to become a member.
How do you join?
Fill out our membership application form and then stop by during open hours. We’ll help you complete the rest when you arrive.
How much does it cost?
- A drop-in membership is just $10 per month.
- Program and camp fees vary depending on the program—check out our programs page for details.
- No one is ever turned away because of cost. Financial assistance is always available.

What DAWs does the MRC have?
The MRC has the following software available for members:
- GarageBand
- Logic
- Ableton
- Studio One
- Native Instruments Komplete
If there’s a program or software you’d like to try that we don’t have, just ask—we’ll do our best to make it available.

Are there performance opportunities for members of the MRC?
Absolutely! We offer several ways for students to perform:
- Quarterly student showcases held at MRC
- Community shows throughout Cincinnati
