Volunteer Opportunities

Music Instructor

Volunteer Music Instructors generally donate their time one day a week, for at least 2-4 hours. Hours we are open to our members are 2-7 PM, Mon-Thurs (12-6 PM in the Summer). Students meet with a teacher for 30 minute, weekly private lessons. Each student may be from a completely different walk of life, with different musical interests, goals, and skill levels. Teachers excel at MRC by meeting each individual where he or she is and being open to creating a fun and educational learning experience for teens that makes them want to come back.

Tutors

Many of our students come to MRC and do their homework and study before they get in the studio and start creating dope music. Our staff is often asked for help with math, science, language, history, projects, tests, and homework that we aren’t equipped to provide. Are you interested in donating an hour or two a week to help our students become better students? Or, do you know someone that might be interested? If so, please contact our program coordinator

Other Positions

There can be plenty of things for a volunteer to do with MRC other than music instruction. We often have a need for additional help with things like promotion, marketing, design, etc. that require professional experience, but give interested individuals without music experience a chance to help out. For those with less niche experience than the areas mentioned above, we also have the need occasionally arise for friends and volunteers that can attend events to support and promote MRC.
